Accessibility statement
Last updated: November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use 112 Coffee, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or high-contrast settings. This statement covers the website and the app at this address.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level required by the European standard EN 301 549 that the European Accessibility Act refers to.
How accessible the app is
112 Coffee is partly conforming with WCAG 2.1 AA: most pages work well with a keyboard and a screen reader, but some parts do not yet, as listed below. We assessed the app ourselves, with automated checks and by hand; it has not been audited by an independent expert yet.
What works
- Every page works at 360 px wide and when zoomed to 200%, without scrolling sideways.
- The colours of text, form fields and buttons are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast levels in light and dark mode; form fields have visible borders and labels.
- All controls can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Legal pages, pricing and checkout are available in English and Romanian, and declare their language to screen readers.
Known limitations
- The extraction charts and the advanced simulator are visual. The key numbers are also shown as text, but the shape of a curve is not described in words.
- The café map works with a mouse or touch; the same cafés are listed as text next to it.
- Some pictures of coffees and products come from roasters and shops and may lack a useful text alternative.
- PDF reports of extractions are not tagged for screen readers; the same information is on the page.
- Photos uploaded by members have no description.

Technical information
