These terms are an agreement between you and OFFICECAFFE SRL (CUI RO30940491, J2012001120261, Str. Pandurilor 94/3, Târgu Mureș, județul Mureș, Romania), which runs 112 Coffee. By creating an account you accept them. If you use 112 Coffee for a roastery or a café, the business terms apply as well.

Contact

Questions, complaints and requests: istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com. Authorities and anyone reporting illegal content can reach us at the same address (our single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act), in English or Romanian.

The simulator is an estimate

The simulator and its tips come from a simplified model. They are a guide, not a measurement, and we give no guarantee about the result in your cup. Use your own judgement; the taste decides. See How we measure.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account; tell us at once if you think someone else uses it.
  • Your display name may be a pseudonym, but it must not impersonate anyone.

Your content

Extractions, comments, photos and coffees you add stay yours. When you make something public, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, show and adapt it (for example resize a photo) inside the app, for as long as it is public. The licence ends when you delete it or make it private, except for anonymous totals already calculated.

Every public extraction has a share link (/s/…) that anyone with the link can open, also without an account. It shows the coffee, how the shot tasted, its date and your country if you show it, but not your name, comment, equipment or photos. Making the extraction private or deleting it closes the link.

You can delete your content at any time, and your whole account in My account. Only post photos and text you have the right to share.

What is not allowed

  • Illegal, hateful, violent, sexual or harassing content; personal data of other people.
  • Spam, advertising unrelated to coffee, fake extractions meant to mislead.
  • Breaking, overloading or scraping the app, getting around plan limits, or sharing an account.

Reports, moderation and appeals

Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content they think is illegal or breaks these terms: with the "Report" link next to coffees, extractions and their comments, photos, member names and roastery or café pages, with the form at Report content (for any address on the site, including shared links), or by email to istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com. Please say where the content is, why you think it is illegal, and give your name and email (except for reports of child sexual abuse material), and confirm that the report is made in good faith. We confirm that we received it, review it with care and tell you what we decided.

People, not automated systems, take moderation decisions. We may remove or hide content, remove a verification, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. When we do, we tell the person concerned what we did and why (unless the law forbids it or it is spam), and how to appeal: reply to our message or write to istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com within 6 months, and someone not involved in the first decision reviews it. You can also go to a court or an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the Digital Services Act. In Romania the Digital Services Coordinator is ANCOM (ancom.ro).

Verified roasters and cafés

Only someone who works for a roastery or café may claim it. We check the claim, for example by the business email on the website's domain, and may refuse or remove it. A verified business is responsible for the recipes, descriptions and links it publishes. Businesses use 112 Coffee under the business terms.

Plans and prices

Free costs nothing and has the limits shown on Pricing (for example the number of free coffees per roaster and saved extractions). If you are over a limit, you keep your extractions but cannot save new ones until you are under it. The paid member plans (Barista and Professional) add the features listed on Pricing, monthly or yearly.

Prices for consumers include VAT. We show them in euro, or in lei to visitors from Romania; the price you pay, the currency, the VAT included and how often you will be charged are shown on the summary page before you pay. Roaster and Café plans are sold to businesses by quote, under the business terms.

Payment, renewal and invoices

You pay with a card or another method offered on the Stripe checkout page. When the payment succeeds, the plan starts at once and we send a confirmation and an invoice by email.

Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you bought it, and we charge the same payment method, until you cancel. For yearly plans we remind you by email before the renewal.

If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider tries again over the following days and we tell you by email; you keep your plan for a grace period of up to 7 days. If the payment still fails, the plan ends and your account goes back to Free. You keep your data.

We may change prices for the future. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you; it applies from your next renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it does.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in My account (manage your subscription). Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account goes back to Free. Apart from the 14-day refund below, we do not refund unused parts of a period, unless the law requires it.

Deleting your account cancels your subscription straight away; no further payments are taken.

Right of withdrawal and our 14-day full refund

As a consumer in the EU you may change your mind about a purchase. Because a plan gives you digital features at once, on the summary page before you pay we ask you to request that your plan starts immediately and to confirm that you know the 14-day rule below.

Our rule: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, we refund that payment in full, and the plan ends. Write to istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com (or use the form below) from the email address of your account; you do not need to give a reason. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of your request, at no cost to you. Renewals are not covered by this rule; you can cancel them at any time as described above.

Withdrawal form (use it if you want; any clear statement works):

To OFFICECAFFE SRL, Str. Pandurilor 94/3, Târgu Mureș, județul Mureș, Romania, istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com: I hereby withdraw from my contract for the following service: 112 Coffee plan ______, bought on ______. Name: ______. Email address of the account: ______. Date: ______.

Minors and paid plans

You can use the Free plan from age 16. Paid plans may be bought only by adults. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to buy the plan for you or to agree to the purchase; if a plan was bought without that consent, the parent or guardian can ask us for a refund.

Recommendations, rankings and sponsored placements

We suggest gear, coffees and workshops based on your answers to the setup questions. Some suggestions are paid placements by brands or shops and are always labelled "Sponsored"; products sold by 112 Coffee, the brand of the company that runs 112 Coffee, are labelled "From the 112 Coffee shop" and are shown before other sellers' products. Some links are affiliate links that earn us a commission.

Coffee lists are ordered the way you choose (by name, most extractions or newest); nobody can pay to change that order. On Explore, a roastery may appear as "Featured", chosen by us and possibly paid for; it is always labelled.

You buy from the seller on their own site and under their terms; we are not a party to that purchase.

Changes to the service

We keep improving 112 Coffee and may change or remove features. If a change takes away a main feature of a paid plan you have, we tell you in advance and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of the period. The app may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems outside our control.

Liability

We build the app with care and are responsible for it as the law provides for consumers. We are not liable for indirect damage or for coffee or equipment used on the strength of the simulator. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer (including the legal guarantee of conformity of digital services).

Ending the contract

You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account. We may end it with 30 days' notice by email, refunding the unused part of a paid period, or at once for a serious breach of these terms, with the reasons. Sections that by their nature must survive (such as liability) continue to apply.

Law, complaints and disputes

Romanian law applies. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may go to the courts there or in Romania.

Write to us first at istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com; we answer complaints within 30 days. You can also turn to the Romanian consumer protection authority ANPC (anpc.ro) and its alternative dispute resolution procedure (SAL): anpc.ro/ce-este-sal. The EU online dispute resolution platform (SOL/ODR) closed on 20 July 2025; for a dispute with a trader in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help (in Romania: eccromania.ro).

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change applies (sooner only where the law or security requires it) and ask you to accept them again. If you don't agree, you can cancel your plan and delete your account before the change applies.
