Business terms for roasters and cafés
Last updated: November 2026
These terms apply when a roastery or a café ("your business") uses 112 Coffee, which is run by OFFICECAFFE SRL (CUI RO30940491, J2012001120261, Str. Pandurilor 94/3, Târgu Mureș, județul Mureș, Romania). They add to the terms of use that every member accepts; where the two differ, these terms apply to your business. You accept them for your business when you claim it, or when you sign a quote for a Roaster or Café plan.
Who these terms are for
They are for businesses that roast or serve coffee and present it to the 112 Coffee community: through a verified roastery or café page, coffees and recipes, QR codes on bags, statistics and team accounts. The people who act for your business must be at least 18 and allowed to bind it. Contact for business questions: istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com.
Claiming and verification
You claim a roastery or café from its page, or ask us to add it. We check the claim, for example by a business email address on the website's domain, and may ask for more proof. We may refuse a claim we cannot verify, and tell you why.
Once verified, your business shows a verified badge. You must keep its details true and up to date and tell us if the person who claimed it leaves the business.
Your team
A verified business has one or more owners. Owners edit the public roastery or café page (description, logo, pictures, the coffees a café serves), invite and remove team members and can hand ownership to another team member. The other roles use the team tools: a roastery's editors keep its coffees (recipes, free coffees, visibility, buy links), see its statistics and make QR codes; a café's baristas use the house recipes, the dial-in log and the consistency charts (on the Café plan).
Nobody joins your team without accepting an invitation sent to their email address. You choose who joins and are responsible for what they do on your business's behalf. Remove people who leave; the last owner cannot leave until someone else is owner. Each team member keeps a personal account under the terms of use.
Your content and the rights you give us
Your logo, photos, descriptions, coffees, recipes and links stay yours. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, show, resize and translate them in 112 Coffee, on its share images and in its QR code pages, and to show them in our own presentations of 112 Coffee, for as long as your business uses 112 Coffee and for a reasonable time after that to remove them. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you publish (including photos and trademarks) and that it is accurate.
Members may also add your coffees, for example from your public product page with our page reader. The page reader takes only facts (name, origin, process, roast, tasting notes, links) and never stores the page text. Once your roastery is verified you can correct or hide these coffees. If you think something about your business on 112 Coffee infringes your rights, write to istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com and we will act quickly.
Recipes you publish as "Roaster's recipe, verified" are your recommendation; members still brew at their own judgement.
Roaster and Café plans: quotes, invoices and VAT
The Roaster and Café plans are sold by quote. The quote states the plan, the period, the price and how to pay. When we receive your acceptance (and, if agreed, the payment), we turn the plan on for the agreed period; it ends at the end of that period unless we agree to renew it. We invoice under Romanian law; invoices are also reported to ANAF through RO e-Factura.
Prices for businesses exclude VAT. Romanian businesses are charged Romanian VAT; businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number are invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge rule; businesses outside the EU are invoiced according to the place-of-supply rules. Give us your correct company name, address and VAT number.
If an invoice is not paid by its due date, we may remind you and then switch the plan off until it is paid. You can end a plan early by writing to us; prepaid amounts are not refunded unless we ended the plan without a reason under these terms.
Statistics we give you
Your statistics show how members use your coffees: anonymous page views and simulator uses, scans of your QR codes and visitors' uses of the public simulator, and totals from members' public extractions (counts, taste split, typical machines and grinders, median recipes). Private extractions are never included, and anything based on members' extractions is shown only for groups of at least 5 members, so no one can be singled out. You must not try to identify individual members from the statistics or use them for anything other than improving your coffees and your presence on 112 Coffee.
How coffees and businesses are ranked
We explain here the main parameters that decide how your coffees and your business appear, as the EU platform-to-business rules ask:
- Coffee lists are ordered as the member chooses: by name (the default), by most extractions or by newest. Filters (roaster, origin, process, roast, free coffees) only narrow the list. Payment does not change this order.
- Free coffees: Free members can open a set number of coffees per roastery for free. Roasteries on the Roaster plan choose which ones; otherwise we choose.
- Featured roastery on Explore: one roastery chosen by us may be shown between the results as "Featured". This placement may be paid for or part of a plan, and it is always labelled.
- Product recommendations (gear, coffees, courses) are chosen by the member's setup answers, budget and country. At most one sponsored product per row comes first, labelled "Sponsored"; sponsors pay for this. The rest are ordered with products from the 112 Coffee shop first, then by the order we set and by name.
- Cafés: only verified cafés appear in the café directory, listed by name; members can filter them by place and by the roasteries they serve, and the map shows them by location.
Our own coffees and shop, and access to data
OFFICECAFFE SRL also roasts and sells coffee under the 112 Coffee brand and runs the 112 Coffee shop. In product recommendations, products from the 112 Coffee shop are shown before other sellers' products and labelled "From the 112 Coffee shop". 112 Coffee's own coffees appear in coffee lists under the same rules as every roastery's.
We use the data created on 112 Coffee (for example totals of views, extractions and recommendation clicks) to run and improve it. We do not use other businesses' non-public statistics to favour 112 Coffee's coffees. You can access your own statistics in the Roaster or Café studio; you do not get access to other businesses' statistics or to members' personal data.
Personal data
We are the controller of members' data on 112 Coffee (see the privacy policy). Your business receives no personal data of members, except what team members see inside your own team and members' public content. If you contact members or your team outside 112 Coffee, you are the controller of that data and must follow the data protection rules.
Restricting, suspending or ending your business presence
We may restrict or suspend your business features (for example remove a verification, hide coffees, or switch off a plan) if your business breaks these terms or the law, a claim turns out to be wrong, or invoices stay unpaid. We tell you the reasons when the restriction takes effect at the latest, and you can reply with facts or corrections, which we review.
If we end our services to your business altogether, we tell you at least 30 days in advance with the reasons, except where the law requires us to act faster, for repeated serious breaches, or for fraud or illegal content. You can stop using 112 Coffee for your business at any time.
Complaints and mediation
Send complaints about how we treat your business to istvan.zsigmond@112coffee.com. We confirm receipt, look at the complaint with care, and answer within 15 working days. If we cannot agree, we are open to mediation by an independent mediator agreed between us; each side pays its own costs and half of the mediator's fee. Mediation does not stop you from going to court.
Liability
We provide 112 Coffee to businesses as it is and without a guarantee of a particular commercial result. Neither side is liable to the other for lost profit or indirect damage. Our total liability to your business in any 12 months is limited to what your business paid us in that period. These limits do not apply to intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them. You indemnify us against claims of third parties caused by content your business published without the necessary rights.
Changes to these terms
We tell the owners of your business about changes to these terms by email at least 15 days before they apply (longer if the change needs more work from you). If you do not agree, you can end your business use of 112 Coffee before the change applies. Changes required by law or to deal with an unforeseen danger may apply sooner.
Law and courts
Romanian law applies. Disputes between your business and us go to the competent courts in Târgu Mureș, Romania, unless the law says otherwise.
